In Hostify you have two type of expenses:
Booking costs—See Advance fee management article
Expenses → where you could add all expanses that are not related to the bookings itself, but to the property.
Manual adding the expense in Hostify
Go to Owners → Expenses and click Add new:
Date—the expense will go to the date frame statment, or if the statment is finalised it will go to the next pending period statment
Example: If it is finalised the statment for November and add expanse with date 1st of November, this expense will go to the December statement.
If a November statement is pending, it will go to the corresponding date statment.
Vendor—chose from the list or create a new one.
Description—description that will be shown in your statements.
Repeat
You could select a repeat, but be aware of some small details:
Expense will repeat itself in every period, beginning—monthly—in the 1st date of every month; early—1st of January every year; weekly—Monday every week.
If you create the expense in the past current date, it will be created for that past period and the feature period from current date to the future. For the time frame between, they will not be created any expenses.
Managing repeated expenses:
You could change current expense and decide it will be only for this specific one, or all in the feature
Expenses will appear on your statements, and they will increase or decrease your owner's balance
‼️If you wish to compensate your owner, you could create negative amount, which will increase owner's balance.
Attach files—PDF and image allowed.
You can give access to your owners to see their expanses, please contact our support to do so.
2. Import expense from CSV:
Easy to do so, you just need to map in your file owner and property that he have and upload the file. (How to manage the file extension, see in Owner's and contracts article)
Expenses amount MUST be numbers separated with dot and with at most 2 digits after decimal separator.
After upload, you will receive email with the status—which expense are imported, and which per example do not match listing or contract.
Your listings must have unique nicknames in Hostify, or our system will not be able to map them.
