How to Integrate with Alertify

Integrating Hostify with your Alertify device enables you to efficiently monitor potential guest violations with ease and organization

Integrate Hostify with Alertify! Use Hostify to...

  • Map units from Hostify to units in your Alertify dashboard

  • See which guests were in the unit where a violation took place

  • Set up automatic notifications to your guests with GuestAlerts for the following events:

    • Noise levels are exceeded

    • Cigarette smoke is detected

Connecting Hostify with Alertify:

1. Sign in to your Hostify account and navigate to "Apps" on the left menu bar.

2. In Apps, select the "Alertify" logo.

3. Under Settings, copy the API Key.

4. Open your Alertify dashboard and go to the "Integrations" tab located on the left menu bar.

5. Within the Integrations tab, click on the “Hostify” logo. Then, click on the "Connect" button situated in the top-right corner.

6. Accept the terms and conditions, if prompted, and paste the copied API Key into the designated field.

7. Once the token is pasted, you should now be successfully connected with Hostify and your units will automatically be imported and linked from your Hostify account into your Alertify dashboard.

Units Import:

To make sure your units were successfully imported from Hostify, simply click on the Hostify integration again in your Alertify dashboard and navigate to the ‘Link Unit’ tab at the top of the page. Here you’ll see a list of units imported from Hostify. If the units’ buttons say ‘Unlink’, you’ll know that your units are linked successfully and your after-incident reports will pull the correct guest information into the reports generated under the ‘Alerts’ tab.

To link a unit, simply click the ‘Link’ button, select a unit in your Hostify account and click on the button ‘Create a link’.

Guest Alerts

To set up Guest Alerts, simply navigate to Guest Alerts on the left menu in your Alertify dashboard. Click on the toggle to Enable Guest Alerts. To fully customize Guest Alerts, read the full set up guide here.

Please note: Guest Alerts for Hostify are only sent over email to guests and guests will not receive an SMS alert. Additionally, you will be able to see the emails sent guests in the Hostify inbox.
