Overview
SIRE Colombia (Sistema de Información para el Registro de Extranjeros) is Colombia's mandatory guest registration system managed by Migración Colombia. Vacation rental operators must register foreign guests with the government for compliance.
Hostify offers two ways to get that guest data to SIRE:
Import/Export — Hostify generates export files (tab-separated .txt) that you download by date range and movement type (entry/exit) and upload manually to the SIRE government portal.
Automatic — you connect your SIRE portal login to Hostify once, and Hostify submits each guest to SIRE for you, without any manual download or upload.
Both are covered in this guide: Import/Export setup first, then Automatic Integration further down.
Note: SIRE Colombia is required before TRA Colombia. TRA uses guest data collected by the SIRE Colombia check-in form. Set up SIRE first.
Prerequisites (Before Connecting)
Before setting up SIRE Colombia in Hostify:
Create a check-in form with the SIRE Colombia preset — either the legacy check-in module (Apps → Hostify check-in → General Settings → Form Preset) or a Mr.GG check-in template (Apps → Mr.GG → Check-in templates → General Settings → Form Preset). Both support the SIRE Colombia preset.
Assign the SIRE Colombia check-in form (or template) to your Colombia listings
Ensure your listings have country = Colombia
The screenshot above shows the legacy check-in module's General Settings — a Mr.GG check-in template has the same Form Preset field under its own General Settings.
Obtaining Your Hotel Code
Your Hotel code comes from the SIRE Colombia government portal. You need it to add an integration in Hostify.
Log in and obtain your hotel/accommodation code from your SIRE registration
If you are not yet registered, follow the government's registration process for "Alojamiento" (accommodation) providers
Setting Up SIRE Colombia in Hostify (Import/Export)
Important: Each owner or SIRE registration has its own hotel code. Create a separate integration for each owner/registration. Do not reuse the same hotel code across different owners or properties.
Go to Integrations → App Center → SIRE Colombia
Click Create new integration (or Add)
If you see an Integration type choice, select Import/Export (the manual, file-based flow described in this section — for the automatic flow, see "Automatic Integration (Direct Submission)" further down this article)
Fill in:
Integration Name (e.g. owner name or property nickname like "Wellington")
Hotel code (from the SIRE government portal—one per owner/registration)
Active (enable if you want it to run immediately)
Click Add Integration
Linking Listings and Assigning City Codes
Go to Integrations → App Center → SIRE Colombia and click Settings on your integration
In the Listings section, use the multiselect to add your Colombia properties
Only listings with country = Colombia will appear
Click the Listings tab to assign a city code to each property
For each listing, select the correct city from the dropdown (required for correct file generation)
Click Save Changes
Important: Each listing must have a city code assigned. The city dropdown uses the official SIRE list of cities. This is required for the export files to be valid.
Downloading Files for SIRE Upload
Go to Integrations → App Center → SIRE Colombia, then click Download
Configure the export:
Listings: Select specific properties or leave empty to include all linked listings
From: Start date (format: YYYY-MM-DD)
To: End date (format: YYYY-MM-DD)
Movement: Entrada (entry) or Salida (exit)
Click Download
A ZIP file will download containing one or more
.txtfiles (one per integration)Each
.txtfile contains tab-separated guest data, one guest per line
File format: The exported files are tab-separated text files compatible with the SIRE government upload system. Each line represents one guest for the selected date range and movement type.
Uploading to the SIRE Government Portal
After downloading the files from Hostify, upload them to the SIRE Colombia government system to complete the registration.
The following screens show where to go in SIRE to upload your files:
Step 1: Log in to SIRE Colombia
Log in with your SIRE credentials
Step 2: Navigate to the upload section
From the main menu or dashboard, locate the section for uploading guest movement files
Select the appropriate option for "Carga" (upload) or "Registro de movimientos"
Step 3: Upload the .txt file
Extract the
.txtfile(s) from the ZIP downloaded from HostifySelect the file to upload (one file per integration)
Upload entries and leavings separately
Confirm and submit the upload
Step 4: Verify the upload
Check that the upload completed successfully
Review any confirmation message or status in SIRE
Automatic Integration (Direct Submission)
With an Automatic integration, Hostify connects to SIRE with your portal login and submits each guest for you — there is no file to download or upload.
Before you start: you cannot switch an existing Import/Export integration to Automatic — the Type column on your SIRE Colombia integrations list will show Import/Export for all of them until you create one as Automatic. Create a new SIRE Colombia integration and choose Automatic, then move your listings' assignment from the old Import/Export integration to the new one in the Listings tab. Your existing Import/Export integration keeps working until you do this — nothing is disabled automatically.
Setting it up:
Go to Integrations → App Center → SIRE Colombia
Click Create new integration
Enter an Integration Name
Under Integration type, select Automatic
Enter your SIRE portal login: Tipo de Documento, Número de Documento, and Contraseña — the same fields SIRE itself asks for on its own login screen
Click Next — Hostify signs in to SIRE and loads the list of companies/hotels registered under that login
Select the correct Company from the list
Click Save Changes
To update the SIRE login or company later, open the integration's Settings and use the Credentials tab.
How submission works: a scheduled job checks reservations checking in and out each day (Bogotá time) and submits entries and exits to SIRE automatically through the same guest data collected by the SIRE Colombia check-in form. No manual download or upload is needed.
Monitoring submissions: go to Requests Status in the SIRE Colombia menu to see each submission. Filter by Date, Integration, or Status (Uploaded, Pending, Error) to confirm a guest went through or to spot one that failed.
How It Works (Data Flow)

Only foreign guests are included (Colombian nationals are excluded, as required by SIRE).
