SIRE Colombia

Overview

SIRE Colombia (Sistema de Información para el Registro de Extranjeros) is Colombia's mandatory guest registration system managed by Migración Colombia. Vacation rental operators must register foreign guests with the government for compliance.

Hostify helps by collecting guest data via a SIRE Colombia check-in form and generating export files (tab-separated .txt) that you upload to the SIRE government portal. You download files by date range and movement type (entry/exit), then upload them manually to SIRE.

Note: SIRE Colombia is required before TRA Colombia. TRA uses guest data collected by the SIRE Colombia check-in form. Set up SIRE first.

Prerequisites (Before Connecting)

Before setting up SIRE Colombia in Hostify:

  1. Create a check-in form with SIRE Colombia preset: Check-in → create or edit a form → select "SIRE Colombia" preset

  2. Assign the SIRE Colombia check-in form to your Colombia listings

  3. Ensure your listings have country = Colombia

Obtaining Your Hotel Code

Your Hotel code comes from the SIRE Colombia government portal. You need it to add an integration in Hostify.

  • Log in and obtain your hotel/accommodation code from your SIRE registration

  • If you are not yet registered, follow the government's registration process for "Alojamiento" (accommodation) providers

Setting Up SIRE Colombia in Hostify

Important: Each owner or SIRE registration has its own hotel code. Create a separate integration for each owner/registration. Do not reuse the same hotel code across different owners or properties.

  1. Go to IntegrationsApp CenterSIRE Colombia

  2. Click Create new integration (or Add)

  3. Fill in:

    • Integration Name (e.g. owner name or property nickname like "Wellington")

    • Hotel code (from the SIRE government portal—one per owner/registration)

    • Active (enable if you want it to run immediately)

  4. Click Add Integration

Linking Listings and Assigning City Codes

  1. Go to IntegrationsApp CenterSIRE Colombia and click Settings on your integration

  2. In the Listings section, use the multiselect to add your Colombia properties

  3. Only listings with country = Colombia will appear

  4. Click the Listings tab to assign a city code to each property

  5. For each listing, select the correct city from the dropdown (required for correct file generation)

  6. Click Save Changes

Important: Each listing must have a city code assigned. The city dropdown uses the official SIRE list of cities. This is required for the export files to be valid.

Downloading Files for SIRE Upload

  1. Go to IntegrationsApp CenterSIRE Colombia, then click Download

  2. Configure the export:

    • Listings: Select specific properties or leave empty to include all linked listings

    • From: Start date (format: YYYY-MM-DD)

    • To: End date (format: YYYY-MM-DD)

    • Movement: Entrada (entry) or Salida (exit)

  3. Click Download

  4. A ZIP file will download containing one or more .txt files (one per integration)

  5. Each .txt file contains tab-separated guest data, one guest per line

File format: The exported files are tab-separated text files compatible with the SIRE government upload system. Each line represents one guest for the selected date range and movement type.

Uploading to the SIRE Government Portal

After downloading the files from Hostify, upload them to the SIRE Colombia government system to complete the registration.

The following screens show where to go in SIRE to upload your files:

Step 1: Log in to SIRE Colombia

  1. Log in with your SIRE credentials

Step 2: Navigate to the upload section

  1. From the main menu or dashboard, locate the section for uploading guest movement files

  2. Select the appropriate option for "Carga" (upload) or "Registro de movimientos"

Step 3: Upload the .txt file

  1. Extract the .txt file(s) from the ZIP downloaded from Hostify

  2. Select the file to upload (one file per integration)

  3. Upload entries and leavings separately

  4. Confirm and submit the upload

Step 4: Verify the upload

  1. Check that the upload completed successfully

  2. Review any confirmation message or status in SIRE

How It Works (Data Flow)

  1. The guest receives the check-in form link (SIRE Colombia preset)

  2. The guest completes the form (document type, ID, name, nationality, birth date, etc.)

  3. Hostify stores the guest data

  4. You download export files from IntegrationsApp CenterSIRE ColombiaDownload by date range and movement type (Entrada or Salida)

  5. You upload the .txt files to the SIRE government portal manually

The download includes only foreign guests (Colombian nationals are excluded, as required by SIRE).
