How to Create an Area Guide in MrGG
The Area Guide is part of the MrGG guest guide and allows you to provide guests with useful information about the area, including recommended places to visit, eat, shop, and explore.
Adding local recommendations improves the guest experience and helps guests navigate the area more easily.
Steps to Create an Area Guide
1. Create a New Area Guide
Click the Add button to create a new Area Guide.
Enter the following information:
• Name – the name of the area or city
• Description – a short description of the location
• Cover Photo – an image of the area or city
After adding the information, click Save to create the Area Guide.
2. Add Places of Interest
After creating the Area Guide, you can add different places and recommendations for guests.
Places can be organized into categories such as:
• Food & Drinks – restaurants, bars, and cafés
• Attractions – tourist attractions
• Shopping – shops and shopping centers
• Services – useful local services
• Transportation – transport and mobility options
This helps guests quickly find interesting places near the property.
3. Add Details for Each Place
For each place, you can add information such as:
• place name
• category
• address
• short description
• photo
• whether the place is featured (recommended)
This information helps guests decide where to go during their stay.
4. Organize Places by Categories
All added places are displayed in different categories, making it easier for guests to navigate the guest guide.
Guests can easily browse recommendations by type, such as:
• restaurants
• tourist attractions
• shops
• services
• transportation
5. Assign Properties
In the Assigned Listings section, select which properties should use this Area Guide.
You can apply the guide to multiple properties at once.
If necessary, you can later add or remove properties.
6. Edit or Duplicate an Area Guide
From the options menu, you can:
• Edit – modify the Area Guide
• Duplicate – create a copy of an existing guide
• Delete – remove the guide
This allows you to easily create similar guides for different cities or areas.
