Share a list with a public link

Share a saved view of Reservations, Housekeeping, Tasks or Property performance as a read-only link, and renew or stop it.

Written by David

You can share a saved view of your Reservations, Housekeeping, Tasks or Property performance list with anyone, as a read-only web page. Owners, cleaners, partners or accountants can open the link without a Hostify login.

What the people you share with see

  • A read-only table with the columns and filters of your view, 50 rows per page.

  • A Download CSV link with the whole list (up to 10,000 rows).

  • The current data every time they open the link. If you change the view's columns or filters, or add listings, the shared page shows it straight away.

  • Only the listings you have access to.

They cannot change anything in your account, and shared pages are hidden from search engines.

A shared list as the people with the link see it

Before you start

You can share your own views. The standard views that come with Hostify (for example Today in Housekeeping) cannot be shared directly. Save a copy first:

  1. Open the list and select the standard view.

  2. Click Share, then Save as my view.

  3. Adjust the name, columns or filters if you like, and click Save.

Your copy now appears in your views and can be shared.

Create a public link

  1. Open the list and select the view you want to share.

  2. Click Share.

  3. Under Link valid for, choose 30 days, 90 days or 1 year.

  4. Read the notice, then click Create public link.

  5. Click Copy link and send it to the people who need it.

Shared views show a globe icon next to the view name and on the Share button, so you always know which views are public.

Renew a link

A link stops working when it expires. To keep it working:

  1. Open the view and click Share.

  2. Click Renew, choose 30 days, 90 days or 1 year, and click Renew link.

Renew from today for 30 days, 90 days or 1 year

The link stays the same. The new period counts from today.

Stop sharing

  1. Open the view and click Share.

  2. Click Stop sharing, then Stop sharing again to confirm.

Confirm Stop sharing

The link stops working straight away. If you share the view again later, you get a new link, so send the new one to the people who still need access.

The person who created a link and account administrators can stop it.

When a link stops working on its own

A link also stops working when:

  • it expires;

  • the view is deleted;

  • the person who created it is deactivated or removed from the account;

  • the person who created it no longer has access to that list.

To restore access, someone with access to the list shares the view again and sends the new link.

Links shared before October 2026

Sharing used to work through the address of the view itself. Old links that were in use keep working and now open the new shared page. They stay valid until October 2027, and the view shows the globe icon so you can renew or stop them like any other link.

Old links that were not in use no longer open. Share the view again to create a new link.

Good to know

  • Anyone who has the link can open it. Share it only with people who should see the data, and stop sharing when they no longer need it.

  • Choose the shortest period that works for you. You can always renew.

  • Property performance sharing is not available on every account yet. If the Share dialog says so, contact our support team.
