If your properties are located in Bulgaria, you are required by the Tourism Act to report guest data to the National Tourism Register through the ESTI system (Единна система за туристическа информация — the Unified Tourism Information System, operated by the Ministry of Tourism). Once set up, Hostify submits this data for you automatically. There are two short parts: connect ESTI in Hostify and map your properties, then select the ESTI Bulgaria preset on your MrGG check-in form.
Before you start: make sure you have an ESTI account (the email/username and password issued to you at esti.tourism.government.bg) and that each accommodation place you operate is registered under your profile in ESTI.
Part 1 — Connect ESTI in Hostify
Step 1 — Add the integration
In Hostify, open the App Center, find ESTI Bulgaria.
Open it and click Create new integration. Fill in an Integration Name (your own label), your ESTI Email and Password, toggle Active on, and click Save. Hostify validates the credentials (the status turns Active) and automatically pulls the accommodation places registered in your ESTI profile.
Step 2 — Map your accommodation places to listings
Open the Listings tab. For each accommodation place pulled from ESTI, pick the matching property from the Listing dropdown — the choice is saved automatically. Only your Bulgarian listings appear in the dropdown.
Important: a place that is not mapped to a listing will not be submitted to ESTI. If you register a new place in ESTI later, use the Pull Listings button to re-sync.
Part 2 — Select the ESTI Bulgaria preset on your MrGG check-in form
You do not need to build the check-in form from scratch — you only need to choose the ESTI preset. On your MrGG check-in template, open General Settings and set Form Preset to ESTI Bulgaria. This automatically selects and locks every field ESTI requires (name, gender, date of birth, document type and number, and the personal identifier — EGN for Bulgarian nationals or foreign number for foreign guests). Guests under 14 are not registered.
New to MrGG check-in templates? See (EN) Setup the Check-in instructions in MrGG for how to create and assign a template. When you are done, assign the template to your Bulgarian listings — the same ones you mapped in Part 1.
Testing & monitoring
Send yourself a test check-in link from an upcoming reservation and complete the form as a guest. Hostify then submits each registrable guest (14+) to ESTI automatically. You can review every submission in the ESTI integration's Requests Status log — it shows the reservation, guest, status (OK / Error), and time sent. If a submission fails, correct the data or connection and re-send it.
Troubleshooting
Integration status "Error" / login failed — wrong ESTI email/password or an expired session. Re-enter the credentials on the General tab and save to reconnect.
No accommodation places on the Listings tab — check the credentials, then click Pull Listings. Make sure the places are registered in your ESTI profile.
Reservations not submitted — confirm the listing is mapped (Part 1, Step 2) and that the ESTI Bulgaria preset is applied and assigned to it (Part 2).
"Invalid EGN" / "Invalid foreign number" — the identifier failed validation. Ask the guest to re-check their ЕГН / ЛНЧ and re-send.
A guest is missing from ESTI — guests under 14 are intentionally not registered.
